Section 3.4.5 may not exist, or there is nothing that looks like a warning in Section 3.4.5. Either of these will be reported as an Invalid Reference.
If there is more than one warning, it will be reported as an Ambiguous Reference.
An Invalid Reference occurs where:
The document referenced does not exist | |
The point in the document does not exist - it may be a Heading, a Section or Subsection, an item in an Indexed List, or other document object, such as Table or Figure. | |
The object referenced in the Section or Indexed List is not described in the text (it may not exist, due to a voiding by another section or a "not applicable", but that is not being checked). |
